Looking back on these videos, everyone likes to make fun of Matt for every misstep or incorrect theory, but they're still good videos. And good theories! He uses all the information he had at the time. That's what made them so fun.

I just love how he is so excited for discovering the identidys of golden freddy amd puppet but he got them both wrong... but later got them right

Out of all the fnaf theories, this one, especially the title, is the most correct sentence that has ever been said. Fnaf will never end, not even after Scott retires. Whoever is pulling the strings of fnaf now, just know that they will never stop, and when we find all the puzzle pieces and put them together, they will just reshuffle the entire timeline and story, and they will just continue producing.

11:52 It's also why cliffhangers work so well. Humans naturally want a story to be resolved. It's why I was so excited when I learned that Samurai Jack was getting one last season. Because that final season resolved Jack's story once and for all. A story I'd wanted an ending to since I was a little kid.

Completion Principle is something I've questioned based on a behavior I exhibited as a kid
I was terrified of completing games. I don't know why, apart from when I did I got a horrible sense of dread, sometimes something akin to a panic response. And I would explain it as "well now that I've completed it, the game can no longer be enjoyed to the same extent"
Which... interesting view I had. But it kinda drives a nail into what we think human nature should be. Maybe fear is just an exceptional variable when it comes to completion principle? That all that matters is that theres a desire to complete things in the first place? Idk I'm not a psychology major, I'm just your random internet gal who happens to like philosophy and thinks alot about these abstract concepts
At the very least, there are exceptions to completion principle

Science is never absolute, and anybody with frontal lobe damage *can* feel fear, their ability to recognise emotions in them self and others is stunted. ADHD is a type of frontal lobe damage. I have literally not been able to stop rewatching mark play through the games so i could watch these theories, cuz i stopped watching when i got busy with school at the purple guy identity episode, and ive not been able to fully focus on homework like holy fugg

Okay so watching these again is hilarious as he basically calls every kid who's crying the puppet and he has so much hope that its going to be his final theory everytime

When I was younger, I had a theory that the minigames and stuff from FNAF 4, where you play as the kid, are the dreams, not the game. Then a year or two back, my theory was that it is almost all real. I found out about the experiments done on the kid with the nightmare animatronics. I thought the nightmare animatronics were hallucinations, and that PFF was a hallucination as well. All part of one experiment. Scare the kid with the nightmare animatronics, then see how he acts after, with a hallucination type friend who talks to him. It would have explained his fear of the springlock animatronics. Obviously wrong LMAO
